I ran across a fish fry this past spring at
Saint John Lutheran Church in Edgerton this past spring.
A week ago or so I saw a blurb in the paper for a "fall bazaar" scheduled for Saturday the 9th of October. There was no mention of lunch, but knowing Wisconsin churches like I do, no activity usually passes without some kind of chow. My instincts were sound. To my surprise they offered up a whole dinner.
They offered up a Swiss Steak presentation with mashed potatoes and gravy. A basket of buttered bread waited patiently on the table. I grabbed a crispy salad with French and Ranch dressing at the chow window. There was also a side of mashed sweet potato.
I topped the meal off with a good piece of homemade pumpkin pie and a hot cup of coffee.
For the record, this particular post is in regards to the meal that was held on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Find
Saint John Lutheran Church at 207 East High Street, Edgerton, Wisconsin. Call (608) 884 - 3515 for more information about other activities.
