Delavan Lanes - Delavan, Wisconsin - Bowling with Dadio
This entry was posted on 1/6/2010 9:33 AM and is filed under Taverns Wisconsin, Bowling with Dadio.
Because of the economy restricting many of our freedoms to move around and participate in causal and pop culture, we are all looking for good deals. We all hate to stop living just because the movers and shakers in Washington, Wall Street, and the many State Houses have ruined our economic lives.
Not to be denied some small pleasures, Americans are indeed innovative. Answer - cheap beer, fish fry, pizza, football, and...bowling.
I made my way over to Delavan Lanes in Delavan, Wisconsin the other night. I must admit I was taken aback by the crowd on a Tuesday night.
Delavan Lanes offers a Dollar per game deal on Tuesday nights from 5:00 p.m. until closing time. I asked the fellow at the desk what closing time was and he said, "It is up to the crowd; I'll keep'r open as long as I have to."
There was one lane left and I bowled a couple games on lane 16. The place has 16 lanes and a full bar. The grill closes at 9:00 p.m. and get you last order in by 8:30 p.m. You can get a cheese burger with fries, cole slaw, and pickle for just under seven Bucks.
They also offer a Friday fish fry for $9.50 featuring potato pancakes. Pitchers of Miller Lite are seven Bucks and a pint is two Bucks.
Delavan Lanes is cool with Cool Dadio. Find them catty-corner from the fire station in Delavan, Wisconsin. Address: 509 South 7th Street. Call (262) 728 - 9477 for more information or visit their Web site www.delavanlanes.com .
