Burgers and fries - short and sweet

The main nuance of Norm's Hideaway may be its location.  You will find it off Highway 106 as it stretches between Edgerton and Fort Atkinson.  To get to Norm's turn south on Carcajou Road going toward Lake Koshkonong.  Norm's sits near the boat landing on the north side of the lake on Kuehn Road.

We used the occasion to get the teal and cream Harley out for a country ride.  The Lake Koshkonong area is a well kept secret.  Most people rolling up here to the great North for the weekend from Chicago just fly on by our unsung lake.

This is a culture.  You will find dead animals on the walls, outdoor patios on at least two sides of the bar, the consummate Wisconsin wood paneled walls, and the Harlies siting in the parking lot.  There may be a poster for a fire station raffle giving away a gun or two to the winner - proceeds to benefit the volunteer unit.  Most of all, you will find good food.  You might even find Norm chatting at the bar.

Heide ordered a grilled cheese burger.  Fries were a Buck extra.   I ordered the special of the day - BBQ Pork sandwich with fries.  I splurged and ordered a cup of chili - its chili season Up North here.

Norm's Hideaway is cool with Cool Dadio.  With beverages, sandwiches, and tip we both got out of there for around 20 Bucks.  They are rumored to have a coveted fish fry - stay tuned. Visit the
