The Original Pancake House - Monona - Wisconsin Breakfasts

Just a good breakfast - short and sweet
Although the Original Pancake House has locations in many states, there is an aspect of their delivery that give them a Wisconsin flare. If you are an aficionado of "real" potato pancakes, these folks actually -know how to make them - and well. Not too many years ago the franchise added the second Madison area restaurant in the Monona location. We finally tried the newer location on the way to the Madison Farmers' Market.
They are known for their breakfasts. The early hours reflect that genre. Heide got the coconut pancakes and I of course, had to have my potato pancakes. Heide got a scrambled egg and I got two over easy eggs to go with the cakes respectively.
You will find the coffee cream in a cup like the good ol' days. The waitress helped me at the onset find a more frugal combination price on the menu for what I wanted. The whole staff shares in keeping the coffee cups full.
The Original Pancake House is cool with Cool Dadio. You will find them tucked on the culdesac at 518 River Place Drive, Monona, Wisconsin. It is just off Monona Drive and Broadway and within site of the Yahara Bay by the Beltline. The neighboring retail shops are visible from the Beltline. Call (608) 222 - 1137 for more information.
