Just a good ol' breakfast and eclectic timbre in this special Sunday blog posting - short and sweet
Not too long ago on a Saturday morning after attending Michael Feldman's Whad'Ya Know? live radio show at Monona Terrace, Heide and I headed down to "Willy" Street and got breakfast at Lazy Jane's Café and Bakery. There is still some Wisconsin culture left in Madison. We perused the Farmer's Market, then went to Feldman's show at 10:00 a.m. After the show ends at noon we were ready to eat.
Lazy Jane's offers an eclectic dining experience. Order at the kitchen window - they will call your name when it is ready. It is basically an old house turned eatery. The floors are wood, and the walls are hung with pictures. Upstairs is a nook to keep the kids occupied.
The fried eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes were reminiscent of the old grills and diners I remember while working on the farm. Lazy Jane's is cool with Cool Dadio. Find them at 1358 Williamson Street, Madison. Their menu is as eclectic as their interior decor. Call (608) 257-5263 for more information.
