Dool's Pub and Grub - Janesville - Friday Night Fish Fry

This entry was posted on 6/6/2008 2:41 AM and is filed under Taverns - Wisconsin-esque,Friday Night Fish Fry.

Once again my precarious work schedule requires me to grab a fish dinner and run for my economic life.  But, Dool's Pub and Grub in Janesville came to the rescue.  They are down by the General Motors Plant.

Somebody there knows about fish frys.  I could smell the fried fish from the sidewalk outside.  It reminded me of the aroma from the church fish frys of my youth.  I ordered a fish dinner to go.  They have a two-piece offering.  If you throw in an extra Buck you can an extra piece of fish.  It truly reminded me of my fish frys of old.  The cook came out to present me with my to-go plate.  The cole slaw was crispy and the tarter tasted homemade.  The French fries were just greasy enough.  I had to start digging into the meal as I drove to work - welcome to my world.

With a diet soda as I waited and the extra piece, two-piece dinner, and tip, I got out of there for eight Bucks.  Dool's Pub and Grub is cool with Cool Dadio.  Call (608) 754  -  2018 for more information.  They are located in Janesville, Wisconsin on Jackson Street down by the General Motor's plant.
