Rosa's - Whitewater - Saturday Night Pizza
This entry was posted on 1/18/2008 9:07 AM and is filed under Saturday Night Pizza.
When I was a student at UW-Whitewater (an old gray-haired student) one of the mainstay places to grab a quick bite was Rosa's. They are open from 4:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m., located right down town by all the bars, and service is quick, just right for a college town. Aside from the pizzas, I liked to get a little thing for the road called a Sampler. It includes three Appetizers. With a small pizza and a Sampler to go, I usually got out of there for around 13 Bucks.
Rosa's is in the old building that used to be the Grey Hound Bus terminal. I remember using it when I was in the Army back in the early '70s. The fellas behind the counter always smiled politely when I mentioned that each time I went in there during college. I still swing by there once in a while as Whitewater is just 20 miles up the road from me now.
Rosa's is cool with Cool Dadio. Call (262) 472-9857 for more info on specials and menu.
Stupid pop culture, media-complex, distraction-from-reality story
I am thinking, each day I should jot down the stupidest news story that is foist upon us by the big-media-complex as a distraction from the reality that has become America. So here we go - welcome to today's "Stupid Pop Culture, Media-complex, Distraction-from-reality Story."
Hey everybody, the Bush economy has been grinding most of us into the dirt for years now. But the innuendos out of Washington is it has just been my imagination. Oh, to hell with that shit. Now here is the real damn story. Conservative Boob Glenn Beck discovers recession. Now that a conservative talking-head hack mentions we might be in some kind of economic peril, it is now a valid worry. Now there is some real God damned news!
