This Friday, Heide and I returned to an old standby of tavern/restaurants. The Milwaukee Grill Inc. is on the North side of Janesville tucked in the maze near the Interstate Highway. They offer a two-piece or three piece fried dinner. I got the two piece because the lightly breaded fish they use is quiet filling. One of their potato options is mashed and they are worth the departure from fish fry French fries. Heide got the potato pancakes and they are very close to those hard to find Wisconsin home made potato pancakes. The dinner is served with dinner bread. The cole slaw was perky and crunchy. One of the main stays of the dining area is the round fire place. The bar is comfortable and down below the eating area. You really need to get there early. They do serve the fish all day on Friday. With two soda pops and a 20 percent tip we got out of there for around 27 Bucks.
The Milwaukee Grill Inc. cool with Cool Dadio. They are located at 2601 Morse Street. Call (608) 754-1919. They are a great place to stop off the Interstate if you are traveling north or south between Madison and Chicago. You should not be disappointed.
Stupid pop culture, media-complex, distraction-from-reality story
I am thinking, each day I should jot down the stupidest news story that is foist upon us by the big-media-complex as a distraction from the reality that has become America. So here we go - welcome to today's "Stupid Pop Culture, Media-complex, Distraction-from-reality Story."
Hey everybody, The New England Patriots are undefeated. According to the expert wonks, the Packers were not suppose to win more than nine games but are now perhapsin in the top four teams of the National Football League this year. Oh, but wait, here is the real damn story. Romo-Simpson spend weekend in Mexico - Paparazzi and sports hacks be damned. Maybe I am an old blood and guts football training kind of guy so excuse me when I ask, "Why are we in Mexico in the two-week break running up to our biggest game in a decade...don't' we need focus Cowboys, are you listening...Coach...Hello!?" I wonder if New England's players are off on a jaunt? Lombardi is rolling over in his grave. Now there is some real God damned news!
