Kealy's Kafe - Janesville - Friday Night Fish Fry
This entry was posted on 12/21/2007 9:18 PM and is filed under Friday Night Fish Fry.
Kealy's Kafe just up from Memorial bridge in Janesville (formally known as Kadee's) continues the fish fry vigilance. Kealy's has an outstanding fish fry considering they are a small joint. Miss Heide was in a holiday funk, so I traveled solo up to Kealy's for Friday fish fry. They offer one-piece, two-piece, three-piece, and all-you-can-eat options of the deep fried fish. They also offer baked. If you get the all-you-can-eat, it includes soup or salad. I chose the chili for my soup option. You also get baked or fried potatoes, cole slaw, and rolls. The tarter and cole slaw will be served in the little tavern style cups. I always like that Wisconsin touch. I noticed the waitress bringing out good sized salad bowls spilling over with fix'ns to those that opted for the salad. The deep fried fish was perfect for my taste - crisp breading, flaking inside, steaming hot, and mouth watering. All the staff were polite and helpful.
Kealy's Kafe is cool with Cool Dadio. I should get up to Kealy's more often since it is just down a bit from my neighborhood. With the all-you-can-eat option, coffee, and tip, I got out of there for around 15 Bucks. They start serving fish in the a.m. up until about 8:00 p.m. Call (608) 755-1983 for more information. They are located in the Mercy store-front center just west of Memorial bridge.
Stupid pop culture, media-complex, distraction-from-reality story
I am thinking, each day I should jot down the stupidest news story that is foist upon us by the big-media-complex as a distraction from the reality that has become America. So here we go - welcome to today's "Stupid Pop Culture, Media-complex, Distraction-from-reality Story."
Hey everybody, "real inflation" is grinding all us working guys into the dirt. You know: property taxes soring; heating fuel costs soring; grocery prices soring; fees for everything soring; yet, the nameless government experts say, "Hey now, there ain't no problem, it is all in your imagination, little people." Ah, screw all that economic gloom! Despite the writers' strike, Leno, O'brien returning to air. Their shows have become so banal and boring, I did not even know they were gone somewhere. Now there is some real God damned news!
